I graduated from high school in Coal Grove, Ohio, in 1999, with an interest in sports photography. That interest eventually landed me a job at the Ironton Tribune while I was attending college at Shawnee State University. I then transferred to Ohio University to wrap up my college life.

While working at the Tribune, I became interested in wedding photography and how it would provide me a great opportunity to tell a story through my images as I documented the events of the day.

As I shot more and more weddings, I became somewhat addicted to trying to capture all the little moments that make up the day. I’ve been shooting them ever since and loving every opportunity.

While growing my business, I moved in to a freelance photographer position with the Herald-Dispatch in Huntington, W.Va., and eventually accepted a position as a staff photographer. There, I was responsible for feature assignments as well as spot news, portraits, and sports, including the bulk of Marshall University athletics.

Most recently, I’ve moved back to my home state of West Virginia following an 8-month stay in Albuquerque, NM. We’re in the process of setting up a studio near Sutton, WV. Please feel free to email me regarding any of the services listed above. I would love to see what I can do for you. You can also click here to view my editorial work.
